Worker Safety & Health, Safety & Health Training

MDB works closely with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Worker Education and Training Program (WETP) to promote safety and health principles in job training in the green economy. MDB promoted and participated in the October 2008 WETP conference "Implications for Safety and Health Training in a Green Economy," which explored issues in the green economy, including green jobs and industries, green remediation, green chemistry, and safety and health training.

MDB also assisted with the EPA/WETP January 2010 "Conference on Environmental Justice, Air Quality, Goods Movement and Green Jobs: Evolution and Innovation," which discussed worker safety and health training in goods movement, sustainability/green jobs, ambient air/climate change and hazardous waste cleanup/job training.
