Positions Available

Disaster Recovery Support Specialists

MDB, Inc. is seeking to fill multiple positions for Disaster Recovery Support Specialists at various levels and range from project to the possibility of permanent positions. Applicants must have a comprehensive understanding of relevant federal policy and guidance to include the National Preparedness Goal, Homeland Security Presidential Directives, Presidential Policy Directives, the National Health Security Strategy, FEMA National Response Framework (particularly Emergency Support Functions 6 and 8), the National Disaster Recovery Framework (with a focus on Health and Social Services), and the Federal Continuity Directives.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on topics related to disaster recovery, environmental health, responder health and well-being
  • Perform environmental health assessments
  • Able to deploy to conduct necessary analysis, planning support, workshop facilitation, and research anywhere in the United States and its territories for several weeks to months at a time after a disaster

Qualifications

We are looking to fill a variety of project-positions at various levels. Qualifications can range from a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in disaster recovery to a Master’s degree and 10+ years in disaster recovery or relevant experience.

Graphics Specialist

MDB, Inc. is a strategic consulting firm providing communication, information management, public education and engagement, and policy analysis services for government agencies, nonprofits, and corporations. As the result of continual growth, MDB has a professional opportunity for a part-time Graphics Specialist to provide support with client and corporate projects.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Interface with internal project managers to understand messaging, create visual content, and execute deliverables
  • Produce high-quality graphics design in the production of newsletters, reports, conference materials, exhibits, posters, newsletters, presentations, and corporate collateral
  • Coordinate production with outside vendors, as needed

Qualifications:

  • B.A. degree in graphic design, multimedia design or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in translating concepts into visually compelling resources
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and MS Office products
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience

Desired Skills:

  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong time management, organizational and communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
