Hiram Henriquez, M.F.A., has visual design expertise from a career spanning more than 30 years, including 14 years at The Miami Herald — where he won multiple individual news illustration and design awards and earned two Pulitzer Prizes for Team Reporting — three years at the South Florida Sun Sentinel as a senior graphics reporter, and two years at National Geographic magazine as a graphics editor. Hiram is a senior lecturer at the University of Miami's School of Communication, where he teaches Visual Design and Informational Graphics and Data Visualization. He also runs his own graphic design studio, H2H Graphics & Design Inc., where he specializes in 3D illustrations, informational graphics, animation, brand identity, and web design. Hiram lives in North Carolina with his wife, two children, and three dogs. Hiram was born in Cuba and raised in Miami and speaks fluent Spanish.
