Kenda Freeman, M.P.H., provides research and communication support for programs under the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) that span a broad range of public health topics, such as occupational health, disasters, and environmental justice. Her background in biological sciences, combined with her love of teaching and helping people, led her to the field of strategic communication. As an outreach coordinator, Kenda connects workers and communities with health and safety resources made available through NIEHS programs. She enjoys leading innovative projects and focusing on writing and designing products tailored to an audience. In her leisure time, Kenda enjoys spending time with family, traveling with friends, dancing, and running.
