MDB strives to ensure that all communities are protected from environmental and health hazards that contribute to health disparities.
At MDB we tackle environmental challenges that contribute to health disparities through our work with federal and state agencies, as well as private sector organizations and nongovernmental programs.
We work to ensure that all individuals have a place at the table when discussing solutions to address environmental concerns in their communities. This includes areas where they live, work, and play.
Health disparities include disproportionate risk or prevalence of cancer, asthma, lung disease, and other chronic issues, many of which are associated with disparate environmental exposures.

We offer a wide range of resources, tools, and support to help clients implement community-driven solutions for environmental health disparities. For example, we have helped clients facilitate discussions with various partners at the local, state, and federal levels and developed community engagement plans. We have also helped clients conduct door-to-door outreach and informational sessions, and prepared reports that highlight best practices and recommendations to address environmental health concerns following natural disasters and public health emergencies.
