Community Outreach and Engagement

We design and implement targeted outreach tools and strategies that connect agencies with the communities they serve — building trust, increasing awareness, and fostering meaningful dialogue and action around air quality challenges and solutions.

Strategic Communications and Graphic Design

MDB transforms complex scientific and policy information into clear, accessible, and visually compelling reports, infographics, and other multimedia to promote air-related research.

Event and Meeting Support

MDB manages high-impact virtual and in-person engagements, including technical workshops and stakeholder convenings focused on complex air quality issues, such as those affecting communities near major port and industrial areas.

Training and Education

We develop training and educational materials to prevent occupational exposure to harmful agents, such as mold, wildfire smoke, and avian influenza. We also lead webinars and trainings on air quality and respiratory protection.

Research and Analysis

Our library scientists, IT professionals, researchers, and science communicators support wide-ranging projects at the nexus of understanding and addressing air pollution to protect health.

Technical Support

MDB staff routinely provide technical support on-site and remotely. Recently, our team supported the EPA by developing school walkthrough tools, training materials for parents and surveyors, and a school health benefits calculator to assess and prioritize mitigation actions based on environmental stressors and regulatory standards.
